July 26, 2013 Good, Bad, I’m the Guy with the Posts
The bad news: There’s no post this afternoon
The good (depending on your POV) news: It’s because I’m going to do a liveblog tonight!
This week I’ve been watching the X-Men movies to get prepared for The Wolverine this weekend. I’ve gotten through the first three, so the next one up is X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a movie that has received a large number of complaints. Coincidentally, it’s been a while since my last Good Things In Bad Stuff feature, so you see where I’m going with this.
My plan is to start the liveblog at 6:30 ET tonight, so those of you on the West Coast can finish out your “work” day by following along.

It’s been so long since I’ve seen the first few that I wasn’t planning on seeing the next two in theaters, and as much as I liked First Class, I’ve kinda been on the fence for the series as a whole… but I might be tempted to buy a box set if the price is right. What do you think the odds are of us getting a seven-film set once DoFP hits home video?

Oh, I’m sure of it. Any time there’s a new film added to a series it gives them the chance to make and sell a new set!

The fact that there’s a six pack (listed for pre-order today) leaves me with high hopes. I was worried that they wouldn’t trust the cohesiveness of the series enough to do this – but if they’re doing it without the one that’s going to tie everything together, then there’s probably going to be a 7-pack too!
